SportScheck Hiking Day on the Rothaarsteig

The Rothaarsteig long-distance hiking trail stretches over 154 kilometers from Brilon in the Sauerland, through the Wittgenstein Highlands and the Siegerland, all the way to Dillenburg at the foot of the Westerwald. On SportScheck Hiking Day— August 16, 2026—we’d like to join you on the first stage of the Rothaarsteig between Brilon and Brilon-Wald. You can choose between a longer, challenging hike of over 16 kilometers or a shorter, moderate hike of about 13.4 kilometers. On both hikes, you can look forward to narrow trails and great views. Tickets are available exclusively at the SportScheck store in Dortmund. On the SportScheck Hiking Day, you won’t have to worry about a thing—from the bus transfer to the guided tours and the stop for refreshments at the end, everything is already organized for you.

The SportScheck Hiking Day

• Approx. 7:30 a.m. Departure from Dortmund (Meeting point: Betenstraße/corner of Victoriastraße – in front of the Dortmunder Volksbank)
• Approx. 9:00 a.m. Arrival at the starting point—the market square in Brilon.
• 10:00 a.m. Start of the longer tour 
• 10:15 a.m. Start of the shorter tour 
• From approx. 3:15 PM: Stop for refreshments at Heimatgleis Sauerland
• Approx. 6:00 PM Return trip to Dortmund
• Approx. 7:30 PM Arrival in Dortmund (time & location to be announced)

Exclusively for you:

• Bus transfer from SportScheck Dortmund to the Rothaarsteig (round trip)
• Guided tour (long or short)
