SportScheck hiking day on the Rothaarsteig

The Rothaarsteig long-distance hiking trail runs for 154 kilometers between Brilon in the Sauerland, across the Wittgensteiner Bergland and the Siegerland to Dillenburg at the foot of the Westerwald. On SportScheck Hiking Day - August 16, 2026 - we would like to take you on the first stage of the Rothaarsteig between Brilon and Brilon-Wald. You have the choice between a longer, challenging tour over a good 16 kilometers or a shorter, moderate hike over approx. 13.4 kilometers. On both tours, you can look forward to narrow paths and great views. Tickets are only available at SportScheck Dortmund. You don't have to worry about almost anything on the SportScheck hiking day - everything is already organized for you, from the bus transfer to the guided tours and the refreshment stop at the end.

The SportScheck hiking day

• approx. 07:30 am departure in Dortmund (meeting point: Betenstraße/corner of Victoriastraße - in front of Dortmunder Volksbank)
• approx. 09:00 a.m. Arrival at the starting point - the market square in Brilon.
• 10:00 a.m. Start of the longer tour
• 10:15 a.m. Start of the shorter tour
• from approx. 15:15 hrs stop for refreshments at Heimatgleis Sauerland
• approx. 18:00 hrs Return journey to Dortmund
• approx. 19:30 Arrival in Dortmund (time & place to be announced)
