African swine fever in wild boar on the Rothaarsteig

African swine fever (ASF) has been detected in wild boar in the Olpe and Siegen-Wittgenstein districts. The virus is not dangerous for humans and hiking on the Rothaarsteig is not restricted as a result. Nevertheless, special rules of conduct apply in parts of the Rothaarsteig.
