Baltz hiking day on the Rothaarsteig 2025 - in brief

• approx. 08:00 am departure from Bochum (exact time and location to be announced)
• 09:45 a.m. Arrival at the Nordhang Jause Winterberg - small refreshment and toilet break
• 10:30 a.m. Transfer to the start of the hiking tours

After a little refreshment, we take the bus to the start of the hike in Winterberg-Grönebach. From there, we set off on the approx. 11-kilometre Grönebacher Dorfpfad circular hiking trail. From the hiking board in the village center, we walk along the old Königsstraße towards Gerichtslinde. We continue along the edge of the forest with great views of the valley landscape. We walk through the picturesque Hachmecke valley, always along the stream, down into the Hilletal. A little later, we reach the historic railroad embankment of the former narrow-gauge railroad. Following the embankment, we reach the Hillebrücke bridge with its staggered round arches. A beautiful grassy path with a view of the village takes us through an old hollow path to the Antoniusstein. A final ascent takes us to the Egge viewpoint (680 m). This is the highest point of the Grönebacher Dorfpfad. Now it's downhill back to the village.
The bus is waiting for us in the village to take us to Willingen for a stop at the K1 hut.

Participation in the Baltz hiking day is only possible with a valid ticket.
