Public transport is recommended for the journey to this day hike. However, if you are traveling by car, we recommend that you leave your car at the destination of your hike and take public transport from there to the start of the hike. This is easier to plan and there is no time pressure at the end of the walk to catch the last bus/train.we recommend a hike from Brilon to Brilon-Wald. We start at the historic town hall in Brilon. We quickly reach the district hall on the Rothaarsteig and then immerse ourselves in the "Drübel" nature reserve. We leave Brilon behind us with the ascent to the Möhnequelle and arrive at Brilon Bürgerwald with the striking "Kyrill-Tor". The trail leads through the Hillbringse valley to the Hiebammen Hütte, a hearty hiking snack bar that is happy to look after tired hikers from noon on Fridays to Sundays and on public holidays. The trail continues along paths to Borbergs Kirchhof, a historic site with a great view of Olsberg. The highlight of this hike, however, are the Ginsterkopfs that follow, with several 360° panoramas along narrow paths. Below the Ginsterkopfs, we change to the Brilon-Wald access trail marked with our yellow and black Rothaarsteig logo. The access path then leads to Brilon-Wald station, the end of our tour.
