Rothaarsteig nominated as "Germany's most beautiful hiking trail"

Great joy for the Rothaarsteig: the popular long-distance hiking trail is in the running for "Germany's most beautiful hiking trail" this year. The 154-kilometre quality trail, which leads from the historic Hanseatic town of Brilon in the Sauerland region to the Orange town of Dillenburg in Hessen, has been nominated in the multi-day tour category. The public vote starts on Monday, March 2 and runs until Tuesday, June 30.

"The Rothaarsteig stands for impressive nature experiences, excellent trail quality and a special diversity along the route. Hiking enthusiasts can cast their vote online in the voting studio of the hiking magazine at https://wandermagazin.de/wahlstudio. In addition, analog postcards are available in the tourist information offices of the municipalities along the Rothaarsteig, so that votes can also be cast in the traditional way.
