Rothaarsteig Video Contest - Nature is the most beautiful gift

The Rothaarsteig was opened on 06.05.2001. For 20 years now, the "path of the senses" has been giving us unforgettable moments in nature. Enchanting sunrises, rustling treetops overhead, babbling springs, soft, springy moss under your hiking boots, natural silence, dew-covered meadows, calming views ... the list goes on and on.
We are incredibly grateful for this and we want to celebrate it with you! After all, nature has been the most beautiful gift over the years! So show us your most beautiful nature moments from the Rothaarsteig and take part in our video contest! We will then create a wonderful compilation from all your videos in the fall. Feel free to show us your videos on social media and link us with @rothaarsteig.de or use the hashtags #rothaarsteig or #20jahrerothaarsteig. However, you can only take part via our website!

What is there to winn?

We are giving away three high-quality Rothaarsteig prizes among all participants
1. one overnight stay on the Rothaarsteig for two people in a Rothaarsteig quality hotel
2. one hiking stop (food voucher) in a Rothaarsteig quality establishment

How can I take partn?

  • Capture your most beautiful nature moment on the Rothaarsteig (or on the Rothaarsteig trails or our access paths) in a video and submit it to us by 31.08.21. If you have already been on the Rothaarsteig, we are also happy to receive videos from the past
  • Your video should be approx. 15 seconds long
  • There should be more nature than people. If people appear in your video, they should not be directly recognizable. Otherwise, you are completely free to choose the scenes.
  • Your video should have as good a resolution as possible, ideally Full HD
  • We are happy to receive one video per person
  • Once your video is ready, name the file with your name and read our user agreement for video material through
  • If you agree to this, upload your video here hoch and fill out the form below with your details
  • Participants who submit more than one video and uploads without a form cannot be considered!
